The main character, Laura didn't seem to be someone I could relate to and the story, I thought, was going to be a flop. I thought that it was going to be just like every other awful fashion book. My first impression of the book was not very good. Something about the book was intriguing to me. The author is a nobody in the writing world and the story is rather unknown, but I decided to take the risk. I knew absolutely nothing about the book before I began reading it, which is dangerous. In all honesty, I chose the book because it got it for free off of Amazon as an e-book, which is really convenient because I can read it anywhere.
For my independent novel project, I have chosen to read "Dead is the New Black" by Christine DeMaio-Rice.
